No cause of death has been reported and no foul play is suspected, according to Tampa police.
Mays, 50, was pronounced dead at 7:45 a.m. at 2853 Bowen Daniel Dr., #1201. His wife, Deborah Mays, found him unresponsive this morning. The Medical Examiner's Office will complete Mays' autopsy by tomorrow afternoon.
"Although Billy lived a public life, we don't anticipate making any public statements over the next couple of days," Deborah Mays said in a statement today. "Our family asks that you respect our privacy during these difficult times."
Mays was a passenger Saturday of the 737 aircraft that took a hard landing at Tampa International Airport, an airport spokeswoman said. |

They'll use the awesome auger to dig his grave and Orange Clean on the coffin...
Billy was 50 yrs old.

| The autopsy is in on billy mays, his heart went KABOOM! US Air is in the clear, the bump to the head didn't do it.

| I never really gave Billy Mays much thought over the years except that I thought he should have been on Ax Men on The History Channel. Anyway a few days before his passing he was on The Tonight Show With Conan Obrien with his partner (not in the way, lol) Andrew Sulivan. I'll tell you this, the guy could pitch anything. He did seem like a decent guy who was good at what he did. I'm surprised Vince didn't go first but as the song goes "Only the good die young" so I guess that leaves out Vince:D |
