PostSubject: Michael Jackson activities   Tue Jul 07, 2009 9:07 am

Well, I happened to have this week scheduled off as vacation already, with no travel plans, so I find myself watching all of the Michael Jackson memorial activities.

Right now I am watching the family motorcade heading toward their private service at the cemetary. The police have closed down an entire half of a freeway, and several cross streets, so that they can proceed. Must I remind you that is is currently about 8:00am in Los Angeles, right smack dab in the middle of the morning commute time. Yikes!

This has been called the USA's version of the Princess Diana funeral. Costing millions, I might add.

Should be an interesting morning.

The hearse and procession is heading down the closed freeway, on the way to Staples Center. About 9:30am.

Oh wow, closing down during rush hour!

Good week to be off, definitely. I can't imagine trying to make it to work or anywhere really in that kind of backup. His death still seems questionable to me, but maybe it was too many meds that weakened his heart. So young to die like that.
