I want a kitty. I even picked out where I want to get it from- a shelter with lots of cats abandonded because of foreclosure and other things in Las Vegas. But Barry says, and he's right, that since we're traveling so much for the next six months or so that it would be traumatized all over and think it was abandonded at the boarding place. So I should wait. Sad

I have no kitty!

I looked at a profile for a kitty that looked like Cuddles at a local shelter on Petfinders- it said she was chatty and friendly. I went back last night and the profile was gone, looks like she found a home!

There are two adult cats up today at a local pound that sound like a good match, if they are not taken when I get back from the con in vegas this weekend I'm going to go meet them. I can't wait until next fall to have a cat again, and mellow tempermented friendly adult cats could probably handle boarding.

I cannot watch that abused pet commercial on tv. The only time I can look at pet ads is if I find a pet.

I found out my local pound is a high kill rate shelter, so I'll be saving a life.
There is a formally trained australian shepherd dog that no one claimed up for adoption. I wonder who would invest all that time to highly train a dog and then not even look for her when she ran/ got away?

My kids dad got an Australian shepherd for them. I dogsit her when he goes out of town and OMG she is the best dog ever, and I am not a dog person at ALL. If I had the room I would steal her! heh. She is the sweetest ever.
