| Yep, it's that time of year again! Today I fixed the tiller, the pull rope broke last Nov when I was going to do my winter till. The cover needed paint too, it was thread bare on paint and rusting So it's all fixed and I did my preliminary tilling. | |

| Woo hoo! Finally above freezing here in the north.
Opened my windows for awhile even.
Now if the big pile of snow the plows left in the parking lot at the school would melt I'd say it's almost spring here.

| I got some 8-9" ear corn seeds... can't wait to pick them babies! Especially with my new rowing for them, I should get all tall stalks and a better yeild, so 100 ears or so! w00 h00!
I also lowered the bottom 3 strands of barbed wire to keep the deer out.. still need to ask the neighbors if I can harvest the barbed wire running behind their lot.

| Gorgeous!
I haven't even gotten started on a garden this year. It's very weird for it to be this cold still here - there was actually ICE on my porch this morning! very very strange. I think Spring forgot Michigan this year.

| Wow that's pretty.
I have some daffodills blooming but can't stand to be outside long enough to even enjoy them. We are just now getting a few buds on the trees but they are mostly still bare.
I'm seriously thinking of doing some hydroponics (not pot either, heh). I was researching on it and there's some new methods that can grow lots of veggies indoors.
I used to like Michigan but I"m starting to change my mind. Where is spring?

| Either I've acclimated to this weather or it's a tad warmer this spring but I'm already wearing shorts and t's/button ups. It still feels cool but I just grin and bear it. I was just out at the garden for a daily check, gotta keep an eye out for the deer even though I've redone the fence, and it was dern chilly, although it's rainy/wet, but it's cold air, not warm air. Man, I miss my heat and humidity. I did notice I can tell the difference in humidity here, now. Even when it's humid, it's nothing like coastal humidity but I can now tell the difference between bone dry and humid bone dry | |
