| So I was having some Cream of Wheat... put in my brown sugar and cinnamon, ate it... Norl comes in and walks on my chest, I pet him and he smells like cinnamon. He does the normal, gets petted, goes to eat so I get up and check to make sure he didn't get into my cinnamon, he didn't. He sure smells good though! | |

| LOL, he must have assaulted a cinnamon roll somewhere or something!
Slate smells of skunk, he needs to be washed but I want him to settle in a bit before I dunk him in tomato sauce and baking soda.
They have been chasing each other all over and play-fighting.

| When Norl comes in at night when it's cold out, he starts doing his 12 lb bowling ball impersonation and crashing into stuff chasing around | |

| AH HAH!
I think I know what he got into! I was petting Zif on top of the platform here and smelled the cinnamon jar candle. I've had to cut chunks of wax out of it and have it in a jar, some pieces fell out. I bet he was playing with and/or layed on a piece of that wax.

| Bless you for adopting adult kitties! they are so gorgeious! I don't blame you for going ahead and getting them and just think how much happier they will be with you, even if they have to get boarded now and again they will adjust fine.
I had a silver kitty almost like that one. He was such a good kitty.
Your longhair is so unusual looking. I want to pet him! heh heh. His coloring reminds me of a creamsicle orange sherbet ice cream bar. Do they get along with each other already?

| Sam got after and stalked Tips today.. not that I worry he can catch her, she leaves everyone in the dust cept Creature, but he got chastised. Sam and Norl were adult 'walk-ins' Both love living here and are a riot when not misbehaving It's too bad all our herds can't visit each other | |

| MoD that is awesome that they are already loving each other Neck (I know you are peacemarauder but you will always be Neck in my mind, heh) that reminds me of a cat I had in Florida. I lived wayyyy out in the country in the middle of the everglades. Had a house in the middle of 5 acres, had to literally get in the car and drive to get my mail. A male gray tabby kitty showed up and I fed him of course, can't resist. He was a loving snuggle baby, loved to be petted but afraid of inside. He never would come into the house long so he became my part time kitty, named him Mooch because the whole neighborhood (nearest house was 1/2 mile away but there were several) would feed him. He would stay by whatever house he was in at the moment, eat whatever they had to eat and then go to the next person. He would often come home smelling like either cigarette smoke, cigars, cologne or perfume, and not mine! heh heh. | |

| It was funny with Sam, he started out part time but I got him to come in at nites in winter... then Norl showed up in May and Sam moved in, stayed inside for a few days to lay claim Then it was from May til late July last year til Norl just up and one day came in, ate, curled up on my 133 puter and slept, stayed that way for about 4 days straight other than going out to poop. Pretty interesting how they adopted me You can do what you want but they have to adopt you | |

| Letting them choose you-
That's why I tried out different cats at the pound. I felt bad putting one of them back in her cage but Rusty was playing "catch me if you can" and climbing me and nuzzling me the minute I let him out of the cage. The other cat spent her free time going from cage to cage hissing at the other caged cats. That's when Slate reached his paw out of the cage and patted Barry like he was saying "pick me, pick me" and he climbed up me and nuzzled my face as soon as he was let out. I checked the Petfinder site and it looks like the girl cat I put back was adopted a day or two later, so she probably found people she was more interested in, and she definitely wanted to be an only cat.

| Norl is in my lap washing. He's always enjoyed attention, but now he'd rather sit in my lap or be on my chest. Still working on him to get him to sleep on the waterbed. He has, just lays out flat like where ever he sleeps, but he doesn't like walking on it | |

| Yeah, gotta unload the camera and then upload them. Rusty keeps trying to nurse from me. He sucks his paw pads noisily after he gives up looking for a kitty-nipple on my head or belly. I think he thinks I may be his mommy. He's at least a 10 pound cat, and although he has a kitten face he has a linebacker proportioned cat body so it's kind of funny. It's sad he's still looking so frantically for mom though. | |

| Pet his belly like his mom licked it to get him to poop Tips likes it even though her mom is always around somewhere | |

| I've had cats that still had their mommy around do that nursing behavior too so it's not necessarily a bad thing. Mine outgrew it after awhile.
Two of my cats love their belly petted too, didn't connect it to the poop thing, heh!

| I'll have had my new kitty boys for 2 weeks as of today.
The bowling ball linebacker one is actually still a young kitten, if he's still growing he's gonna be ginormous. He plays like a clutzy baby, getting his head stuck in shoes, etc.
The grey one is a garbage kitty and will eat anything. I made brownies last night and left some in the pan and he ate one. He begs for salad, and raids the kitchen trash for bones which he eats. I know this stuff isn't good for him. I'm having to watch carefully if anything edible is accessible. He thinks the kitchen scrubby pads are toys and I keep finding them with their toys on the floor.
The Mini Teaser Wand toy I got at Walmart is the best $2 I ever spent. They hear the bell tinkle and they're ready to chase, leaping through the air and skidding around, I can even make them run in crazy circles trying to get it.

| NO CHOCOLATE!!!! Their livers cannot process it and it will build up as a poison in their system The best cheapest toy is a shoelace, preferably one that's about 96" long (bootlace). I was lucky to get one from my ex's boot when it broke and got the good one, still have it almost 20 yrs later I got a catnip chirpy bird toy you can stuff, but they like it even when the catnip is gone cause it chirps The only carpet down here is on the stairs so I keep all the toys on the landing Pretty much, if you play with them with something, it's a toy they'll like. Milk seals, the ring that comes off to open the gallon jug, excellent cat toy! Twist ties too. | |

| Yeah, I know about the chocolate. He had eaten about a 1 inch square piece of brownie before I caught and punished him. I'm worried that he jumps on the stove and is going to jump on a hot pan if I don't train him out of this. | |
