| I finally replaced the 2 back poles that were ant rotted. My neighbor is letting me collect up the barbed wire behind their lot. Maybe I can keep the deer out now | |

| I started a bunch of seeds indoors this year, tomatoes, squash, cukes, etc. Then the weather was too cold to put them out--it snowed once a week until Memorial day. So I got them out in a coupld of weeks, and they haven't grown at all. Just sitting there. Not dying, just not growing. well, all the squash died, and the healthiest tomatoe, but the rest are just sitting there. I gave up and went out and bought some tomatoes and squash. My peppers are ok--growing, but slowly.
It went from snowing once a week, to over 90 degrees in the same week. And it hasn't rained but one small sprinkle the other day I think everything is in shock. I don't know of anyone who has a great garden this year.
eeeek! I made 4'x10' raised beds in the back yard. My neighbor says they look like graves. LOL

| Got any corn yet? My tomatoes are finally starting to grow. They must have had major transplant shock. They have been in the garden over a month. The cukes I went out and bought have teeny little cukes on them! I may even get some veggies out of the garden this year! | |

| I spose I'll get about 50 to 75 ears. An oblong melon sprouted... too small to pic yet and there's a 2nd round melon, 25 lb size. The deer ate all my cherry tomatoes... I have a plan for next season, getting more barbed wire and some boards from what's left of the carport and putting that on the barbed wire to keep them from going between the wires. I'll have CROPS next year!!!!!! | |
