Happy 4th!!!!!

Hope yours was pretty good. I'm not usually one to go watch fireworks but I did this time and it was fun. They have a fountain downtown in the water, and they synchronized music with the fireworks and fountain and it was really cool-looking.

Here is what the fountain looked like at night (a bit blurry but you can sort of get the idea)

They canceled the town fireworks since the 4th was on a Sunday and replaced it with a hard right wing prayer meeting downtown. They didn't get word of the new holy schedule out to the sinners very well, us included. They moved the fireworks till Monday and had a hard far right entertainment lineup including from one group that speaks out against entertainment and recreation as being a sinful distraction. Why would any town bring in a group opposed to entertainment to provide entertainment? These people here in Cedar City Utah are nuts!

That is Utah for you! I think some of the hard right Mormons like to kill fun for everyone.

I moved to a nice, quiet neighborhood. I thought.

So I thought everyone was doing their fireworks on Saturday night, like all the cities were. There were some. Not too many. queit nieghborhood, I thought.

So Sunday night, I come upstairs to shower and go to bed. ( I had to work on Monday)

And almost every neighbor was doing thier fireworks! It sounded like a war zone! There must have been a dozen people just in the immediate area shooting off stuff. LOL
Some people had the "hard stuff" from Wyoming, others had the regular baby stuff from here. Even the Bishop, who lives kitty-corner off my back yard was adding to the chaos! And I think he took a trip to Wyoming too. Some of his were shooting a bit far into the air for 3.2 Utah fireworks!

Anyway it was a madhouse for almost 2 hours! And some people were fireing away until after midnight.

So much for the nice quiet neighborhood.
