| I got up and went outside to check on my cats. They were looking down the hill at something, I figured it was a dog. Nope, it was a deer just in the woods off the front yard. It walked down the hill, across the bottom of the lot towards the back, back up the hill and walked up to my garden. Walked between the barbed wire and to the bean plants. So I gently talked to it and slooooowly walked towards it and it hopped the fence and walked through my neighbors back yard and into the woods behind their lot. Turf wars!!! The moth balls are about melted but I have another box, I'll put that out. The deer only ate the leaves off the top of one plant before it hopped the fence. | |

| Yep, it's cucumber! I cut one off the vine this morning and chopped an end off and took a whiff. I just never thought different of it because I bought new type stuff this year, sposed to be giant cantaloupe I do have one cantaloupe growing on a vine though. The honey bees are busy with my corn pollen, they're loading up! | |

| Well, I got a few corn, some cherry tomatoes, squash, zucchini and there's a cantaloupe still growing... The deer got the beans, cherry tomatoes, a couple cantaloupe and zucchini. the watermelon was a bust period. I think I'll try the heavy fertilizer next year, forgot to this year I keep forgetting nothing grows in this clay | |
