| Lookin' good!
Do you have much trouble with wildlife filching your produce?
I had thieving squirrels that learned to pick and take green tomatoes the last year I had a veggie garden.

| 1 deer can wipe out a garden... it's happened to me before I started using barbed wire to keep them from wandering in. Ever since they cleared the lot next door, the deer quit coming through the yard every day and I haven't fed them in 2 yrs either. Thank goodness for the housing bust, that'll keep new construction down. Spose I'll start feeding the deer down in the cat park. That'll be woods til after I leave. | |

| Rocks. 3 of them. The stuff in the back is the stuff I got out of the middle of the 3. The one the pick ax is under is ready to come out, it's just fucking heavy and a nerve said to quit. The 3rd is that lump on the left side of the hole. Damn rocks | |

| I used the come-along on the chain and pulled the rock out til the come-along was rolled in. Then I dragged it out. The rock felt heavier in the hole, like 200+ lbs. It might weight 150 tops. | |

| Congrats on conquering the rock!
I found deer tracks in my back garden again. I'm pretty far in to town to have deer wandering around...they always seem to follow the same path in a diagonal across the yard. I never see them, I think they come late at night. I only see the footprints.

| Maybe I can get stuff to grow across that end of the garden now Yeah, I've had several deer walk right past me, about 20' away, when i've been out with my telescope in the yard. Go get some feed corn from wally or a feed store and put it out if you wanna see em during the day... maybe since you live suburban... and if you do, it takes a month or 2 of keeping corn out before they get the idea it's a feed spot and will start coming every day just about. | |

| That's a good idea... except for the other wildlife. The birds like corn, and last year ground squirrels collected and buried everything I put out that the birds didn't get, then forgot where they buried it. When summer thunderstorms came, little clusters of corn and sunflowers all densely packed were coming up all over the wild part of my yard. | |

| I get that too I just keep putting out more corn and the deer will eat the sprouts. | |

| Well, that rock weighs way over 200 lbs, it lifted the back of the rider up. I weigh 205 and if I sit or stand on the back of the cart the rider just sits there. | |
